The Challenge

The reason I called this project ‘40 Days of Courage’, is because it is the kind of challenge that will take a lot of courage to complete.We have ‘40 days of purpose’, ‘40 days of love’ and ‘40 days of fasting’ now it is time for ‘40 Days of Courage.’

The Challenge
How hard do you think it would be to hand out 10 gospel tracts a day? Rate it on a scale of 1 being impossible and 10 being extremely easy. For those that had a score less than 6, you need to rethink this. You might say, "Well I work all day, I don’t have time." Ok fair enough! But you do have lunch time right? And what about the time you walk to your ride to and from work each day? Time is not really an issue when it comes to giving out tracts. Last month I was in Papatoetoe, South Auckland just walking the streets and within 5 minutes I would have given out 20 tracts. So this is the challenge. You have to give out 10 tracts a day for 40 days. In 40 days you would have handed out 400 tracts. I want 500 able Christians to join up. Over those 40 days, we will have the potential to reach 200,000 people. How exciting is that!?

Why Tracts?
Why use tracts? Because God uses them! Many people throughout the centuries have been saved by the printed page. If you don't feel equipped enough just yet to speak to someone about eternity, then the Gospel Tract does it for you! Plus, the Tract will end up witnessing to people you have never met! Who knows where that simple Gospel Tract will go, who will read it, and then end up meeting you in Heaven because of that one simple Gospel Tract that saved them from an eternity in Hell. Even if you don't have enough boldness and confidence to hand someone a Gospel Tract just yet, you can put them in strategic places where people will pick them up and read them.
Billy Graham once said of Gospel Tracts: "Nothing surpasses a tract for sowing the seed of the Good News." Charles Spurgeon said, "When preaching and private talk are not available, you need to have a tract ready...get good striking tracts, or none at all...therefore, do not go out without your tracts."

So what about the people who get the tracts?
We will have a website they can visit that will be set up with online discipleship course, a question and answer section, a church directory with the churches that are involved in this project and live chat for people to ask questions and for prayer.When?We would like to have enough people signed up to start mid September.

The Cost
On average, tracts cost 30 cents to $1 each- that is a huge outlay. However we can get tracts in bulk and we will have a great selection of tracts available for you to use. We will be able to make the tracts so affordable that they will only be approximately 5 cents each. Also, you will get free access to our support website. The website will have tips for handing out tracts, and on starting spiritual conversations with people. This will include video clips of other people doing this. It will also have live chat and forum support. The fee for “40 day of Courage” is only $20.
